Good morning from Heaven,
This is Rocky the true angel therapy dog and I've been up here for 3 years. In the meantime, my owner, Ilisa never thought she'd get another Frenchie so fast, but a bit over 3 years ago and 2 months after my passing, she had a sweet 3 month old male Frenchie whom she later named Jackie Chan popped into her life from a breeder Aimee who was friend's with Larry, my former breeder.
From the moment she met him, she thought he was the incarnation of me. Down to his small white stripe down the middle of his forehead, to his coloring and similar face he looked like me. However, the moment she took him to the vet within 3 days for a checkup and she heard his loud bark from his tiny little 10 pound body, she knew he was a very different animal indeed. He was wild, frenetic and fun. He liked to run all over the place which was not my strong suit. I was better suited for show biz and people pampering me, lifting me from here to there and going on the shortest of walks possible so I could face my fans and get petted and, of course, sit in mom's lap.
On Sept 23, 2019 my earthbound girlfriend Rosey, joined me in heaven. Her parents who had bonded with me and my mom Ilisa knew it was the right decision as painful as it was. They released her out of her pain from her lungs and tired body and sent her back to me. I had in the meantime lead my former healthy bachelor days with other bitches, but now that Rosey is here, all that will change. She was so happy to see me and I remember the crazy, wild play dates we shared for many years in her beautiful backyard in Marina Del Rey. She jumped on top of me and held me down and gave me a passionate hug and kiss. I was her true soulmate on earth and now we can play freely in heaven and enjoy being reunited.
I send her mom Susan loads of love and reassurance that she is in good hands. While I haven't always been exclusive with her, she is thrilled to be with me and I realized how much I missed her too. We have so many fun times racing around her beautiful, grassy backyard. We frolicked and danced and shared the water bowl with each other while mom and Susan caught up about work and life in general.
Rest assured , she is being well taken care of and I am giving her unconditional love and joy. I'm also relieved that my mom has finally fully bonded with her wild 3 year old Jackie Chan and learned this his energy and good strong legs is truly a gift to her. She now owns a fitbit and little Jackie Chan and her can walk for 2-4 miles together almost everyday. He is giving her joy and pleasure and although she misses the show biz life with me, she is enjoying the dog park and his high energy to push her to exercise more and watch her weight.
Again, I must go now as Rosey is awake and pushing me around like she always loved to do to make sure I was giving her all the attention she loved from me. I"m sure we will have years of fun adventures and she is safe and sound again and back to her old self with me at last.
xoxo

Friday, November 4, 2016
It is with deep sadness that mommy had to put me to sleep on October 15, 2016. Two days before I had some congestion and mom watched me carefully. Then on Friday October 14,2016 she took me to Mar Vista Animal Hospital and the congestion wasn't just normal because the X ray unfortunatley showed massive nodules all over my lungs and cancer all through my body. Mommy went into "automatic pilot" and after I was in Oxygen took me home but they advised I go to an Oncologist asap. She took me to the City of Angels and then broke down hysterically and cried in the lobby and couldn't speak. They took me off and again, a professional woman Doctor had to tell mommy the bad news that they redid the testing and X rays and confirmed: no matter what, I had only maximum a couple weeks to live and no amount of money would make me well again. It was terminal cancer. Mom went home and left me in the hospital where they did everything they could with oxygen to keep me 100% comfortable and breathing. She brought her dear nurse friend Heather to see me again at 9:00PM and had to hold the oxygen tube near my face to breathe while she held me and told me how much she loved me. She could tell how uncomfortable and fidgety I was. She then made the decision that Saturday early afternoon she must not let me be in pain any longer. She invited her dear sister Deborah and Heather to join her to the City of Angels and they were to put me to sleep. They held me close and again she looked into my angelic eyes and said over and over again how much she loved me, how much joy, fun and unconditional love I gave her. She thanked me again and again for the fabulous 10 1/2 years of total fun we had together. She thanked me for being an angel on earth and touched everyone I met with peace, joy and love and peace of mind. Instead of putting me to sleep in front of her, the doctor gently gave me a shot to make me go into a deep sleep (not dead) and peacefully held me and said her final good byes. For over 2 weeks my mommy was totally devastated and distraught. The pain of losing me was just too much for her. Her whole heart was aching in pain. She let out many deep tears, shared her grief on Facebook and in person with all those I touched. I actually touched so many people all over the world, this comforted mommy to hear their love and kind thoughts. I will stay with her always but today she has "let me rise up more" in heaven and allowed me to run around up there in perfectly good health and play with all my new pals. I even see her old friend Louise Steinberg who loved mommy and me so much. She will in the next 6-8 months breed to my frozen sperm and have one of my off spring. I will come back in that body of the baby and be with mommy forever. I appeared to her twice so far on her couch and she has drawn strength and comfort from my loving presence. Thank You Ilisa for being the best mother in the whole wide world! I'm truly an angel in heaven now and will be near you as a guiding force forever!
Love,

My delightful babysitters!
Hey gang,
My mommy went for her birthday to Chicago, Illinois! She had a blast with her cousin Iris and went to plays, ate Chicago pizza, chicago hot dogs and saw all the Art museums, etc. I was so happy as a special couple took care of me! The pad was spectacular! I mean, a real beach home with floor to ceiling windows, view from the jetty and seeing the sand and gorgeous water each day! They loved me so much and we all had fun together. I didn't walk alot as I loved it so much on their comfortable sofa that I took the much needed time from my busy show biz schedule to relax and rest. I'm sure we'll use them again as they are a total delight! I still had my tendencies to "search for mommy" and look outside from side to side....but all in all had a great time. Here are some photos they sent mommy on her I-phone to show her I was doing great! They are also great photographers, I might add.

Legally Blonde The Musical! Play at Venice High School
Hi gang!
Its been a wild year so far! Doing lots of fun new things. My latest gig was playing Rufus, the dog to Paulette in Legally Blonde The Musical at Venice High School. The director Tracy Thrasher had walked in the local pet store Dogromat which I happen to go to all the time to get fed free treats and mommy, of course, buys bags for me! She had asked them if they knew of any dogs that were not afraid to be on stage! And Voolah!! that was "Of course , we do, that would be Rocky!" I went to audition and immediately was hired on the spot. The young teen age actress and excellent singer, I might add loved me in 30 seconds tops!!
I played the role with mommy backstage for 4 performances from May 8th, 9th, 22nd and 23rd. My aunt Deborah and my mom's friend Patty attended on a Saturday night and loved my performance. Now the whole town knows me and says hi to me and yells out "Hi Rufus!" We took loads of photos and also I was in the program with a beautiful bio about me. By the way I sat on my own in a Yoga position so anyone interested in having Yoga Lessons is welcome to call me. I'm up for a commercial right now, so wish me luck! I'm so lucky to have had such a successful career in show business.
That's all for now!

Another Gorgeous Day at Marina Del Rey Beach!
Hi fans,
Well, my mom was so busy yesterday with our nephew Justin coming in town from Las Vegas and sister Deborah and having lunch with them in the Marina, she totally "left me" out of the equation and forgot to pick me up after lunch and let me join them on their adventures outside in the gorgeous Marina Del Rey air! Well....truth be told....Justin didn't want to go back home and just walked directly to Burton Chase Park where they got involved in a free Boat Show and seeing all the gorgeous boats and booths near the channel. My mom, who is a total klutz, tried to board a gorgeous yacht
and didn't bend down far enough and banged her head hard into the door of the entrance! The owner was beside herself and hurried and got my mom an ice pack and had her sit in the cabin and put ice on her head! My nephew Justin and Deborah, after seeing that accident happen, did not feel like coming aboard and waited until mom could see straight and get out of the boat! Then, they decided to take a lovely water taxi tour around the channel and hear the whole history of Marina Del Rey. Again, may I remind you: I was NOT included! So, she came home 4 hours later, tried to make it up to me but I was having none of it!
So, today, Sunday she did take me, her good friend Ellen and her to the Burton Chase Park for a "do-over"! This time, baby stroller in tow....they rolled me around the park and we had a great time. A dog agility class was going on and we looked to see if my old teacher was teaching the class from my puppy school, but it was a different woman. Then, we went back in the car, drove to Starbucks near Venice Beach, they have iced coffee and we strolled along the boardwalk. Ellen was on a mission to find a sun visor as she plays loads of tennis. Since I was in the baby stroller, 100's of people kept stopping us and taking loads of photos of me as I'm , as you know one of the cutest, most outgoing Frenchies I know of! I love to ham it up! Ellen finally said: "Okay"! Enough photos...let's get moving. We found some baseball caps for her husband, a visor for Ellen and everyone was happy! We strolled back down the boardwalk, I jumped out and walked about 50 feet and did my thing. Wow! It's so much more fun to be pushed around like the King of England on my throne! Doesn't everyone drive around in a baby buggy?!

Catching up! My birthday was April 26, 2014
Phew! My angel Wendy Nan Rees just helped me figure out how to get back into my blog! Sorry, I'm an Angel Therapy dog....not a computer wiz!
Well, mom was out of town, of all things for a week in Cancun to get away from the grind of work! She had a blast, apparently, without me. While gone, she brought in a lovely babysitter who was with me night and day and loved me very much! I got to wrap Sherry around my paw and showed her where I love to walk, took her to the barber shop and Dogromat to get special treats. I had a total field day with her. Mom was a bit shocked to see me the evening of my birthday when her plane flew in on April 26, 2014. I had gotten the babysitter to get me so many treats (she bought me two huge bags of treats) and 8 adorable squeaky toys and balls which was fabulous. I had gained over a pound! On a 23 pound dog...that is alot! So, I looked like a little pig racing happily around the house, chasing my new squeaky balls and having the time of my life! I barely noticed mom walk in from the airport at 9:00PM. I was happy to see her, but had a blast.
While away, I was up for a job but because the pay was not up to par, we decided to pass. Then, the next day, mom looked at my ear and I had developed a "boo-boo" on my ear ...better known as a blod clot that had to be removed. Poor mom, she was beside herself, but got me into the vet and they said it is common....and could be 100% removed surgically. While under, she had them do everything as Frenchies are not good breathers, so it's not good to do too many surgeries. She had them clean my teeth, remove a mole on my back and a skin tag. I came out with a cone on my head. She asked the vet when she came to pick me up: Did Rocky bark alot in the cage? They laughed and said: "Absolutely not!" He is just talking and mumbling to us! He wants to go home!" I came out of there looking like an Iraq war vet with a huge ace bandage covering my head and ear and stitches in my back. She gave me pain pills twice a day and medication to prevent infection. I was, however, happy as a lark to get out of there. She fed me by hand in the cone and I was the perfect patient. Two weeks later, bandage is gone, ear is perfect and I'm ready for work! Okay, Hollywood....I'm ready for my photo shoots and commercials! Bring them on......

Wow! I finally got into my own Blog!
I must say that although I appreciate google allowing me to blog, it is such a pain in my "tush" to remember user names and log in. They make it so complicated and I finally got in using the browser Firefox!
So much to catch up on! Well, since we last spoke I have done many more photo shoots. Including one about goggles that I wore adorable blue goggles and even brown ones with my main agent Joel Norton from Hollywood Paws. He is a hoot to work for and loves me very much. He takes me over night to his ranch where I play with his menagerie of animals including a dog and cats. He is so friendly and the photo shoot earns good money while money was in a class all day for work...so it worked out perfectly and she did NOT have to pay for a babysitter.
Then, the following week I was called by Ms. Sarah from Savoy Animals and she owns the lovely French Bull Dog Brigette known as Stella on the Modern Family. Sarah also picked me up and lives in the Acton -Lancaster area and had me do a sleep over also. She asked mommy to bring my favorite toys as that was to be part of the photo shoot. But, I"m a bit territorial and although I loved Brigette I got mad that she would take my toys and I wasn't good about sharing. They had to forget about that particular scene and went onto the next scene which was a really nice bedroom scene with a pretty model and me and Brigette sleeping next to her. Because I'm somewhat of a method actor, I took it a bit too seriously and fell asleep on the bed. They heard me snoring and the cameramen we all smiling and laughing and had to wake me up! All in all, the cast and crew loved us. While in the trailers they took loads of off set photos to everyone's Iphones and couldn't get enough of us! I have to work on my sharing skills...but spoke to a lot of other dog owners and many dogs don't share their favorite toys.
Mommy is so thrilled as we did a 2 1/2 day shoot for a second pilot being presented to networks for our future Beverly Hills Canine Country Club show. I got to do a lot of funny things and they even let me try my hand at being a singer. Although, it took me awhile to bark as I use my lungs sparingly! We had a blast. Since then, mommy went and saw the screening of the pilot a few weeks ago and it was so fabulous and entertaining. All my toes and paws are crossed it sells! Also, mommy did a red carpet Thursday night and it was wonderful. The funny part was she didn't realize it was at the Celebrity Center which is actually on the location of Scientology. We were (or she was as they didn't allow dogs) held "captive" for 10 minutes listening to their pitch about how much they respect the arts and don't consider themselves a religion. Then she heard a fabulous concert by a young duo group called Pink Diamonds. It was all catered and a fun night was had by all. There was talk about us doing more interviews by some nice reporters to give us more buzz on Facebook, etc...so we'll see how that goes.
Anyways, now resting as spent part of my day at coffee with one of mommy's male friends and then playing with my gal pal Rosey. She is the only dog I"m totally smitten with and I let her play the dominant role while I lay back and let her have her affectionate wild side with me! She is crazy about me and howls and squeals (literally) when her owner let's her know I"m on my way! It is hysterical and the owner promised to video tape it and we can show it on the TV show if it sells. So everyone wish us luck and as they say in show biz...."See you at the Movies"!!

My future TV success!!
HI Fans,
I'm working under wraps with two TV pilot opportunities. One is a reality TV show that mommy would be in along with me and a bunch of wild crazy ladies. We filmed the pilot a couple months ago and the producers want a bit more film and then will present to the studios. The other one, I"m filming end of June for a couple hours and I must present my huge smile ear to ear ! This one is a teenage comedy skit type of show and has a lot of fun energy associated with it. To get me to smile I have a secret formula. I have a huge red and white stuffed animal dog which is much bigger than me. I get on it and start getting all excited, shaking my head back and forth, humping, running with it in my mouth and grabbing it. Mommy pulls it away from me like in a game and I chase her around for it. I get so excited I start to pant and then my Cheshire grin appears and I look like I"m smiling from ear to ear! It is hysterical and grabs all the fans and females all the time. I look like the joker on Batman when Jack Nicolson has the painted smile on him. So I hope these both take off as this is a passion and dream of mommy's . I just go along for the ride!
Also, Joel Norton is either using me for 3 days (if they will pay for training) or one day starting around June 12, 2013. I don't know what the photo shoot is for, but truly appreciate the work. I like earning my keep and helping mommy pay her bills. One day I'm going to set her up in a mansion in Beverly Hills or a Beach Front property with huge windows. I'm having a really fun time with my show biz career and loads of people want my "paw d graph"! The entire Marina knows me personally and all the shop owners get excited to see me, pet me and go into their restaurants and store fronts.
There is a new store owned by a good looking man named Dave that mom thinks is cute. He is 53 years old and in great shape. He owns a surf shop which also sells, tops, bikinis, and swim gear. He's a fun man but the best part is he has dog treats in his store. We also stop by there and he puts a dog bowl outside for water.
Well, that's it for now! I'll keep you posted.
Until Later,

All my new jobs 2013 so far!
Good morning fans!
Boy, what a difference a year makes! I have been super busy with not just one, but TWO Petco print ad jobs with Joel Norton, one of my favorite trainers from Hollywood Paws, another photo shoot the next week in early 2013 with Mike Millioti for a special Travel magazine that discusses Pet Friendly Hotels! This was a hoot as I did all sorts of funny things and spent time in bed with 5 other dogs, lounged around the pool with champagne and played "the bad boy image" as a party boy in one scene.
I can't wait to see the magazine. Then, I"m getting another commercial job with Carmen Bosley which should be hysterical in two weeks, and I just filmed a pilot for a reality TV show.
They made me a special birthday party for episode one and I got all the attention complete with party hats, cakes, gifts and clothes. I had a blast as they picked me and mommy and others up in a limo!
Tomorrow I go for one more photo shoot to advertise this potential new TV show. Oh, I forgot the most exciting photo shoot!!! I am on the Cover of USA Weekend with Steve Carell. We're each in a dog cone, plus I took more photos with him for his upcoming magic movie and wore a cute little tuxedo with him. Mommy was in Cancun at the time. We have many copies of the magazine and I pranced all around town showing it to everyone! My highlight of the year so far.
Onwards and upwards! I cross my fingers I land on a TV show.

More Jobs Feb 2013! Yeah.....
Hi gang!
Well last we spoke I was all stoked about the Anthem/Bllue Shield Commercial a couple months ago which mommy got through a great commercial production gal named Carmen! She is super and totally organized.
I got to share a trailer with them and lounge on the sofa between takes. Since then I did a photo shoot for a product for Macys, a Pet Co ad coming out (their newsletter flyer) in March 2013 and a major photo shoot with Steve Carrell the famous actor. I used to love watching him in "The Office". Mommy wouldn't let me go to the "40 year old Virgin Movie" as she said it was a bit to racy for my baby dog ears! I did really well and liked him alot. Joel Norton of Hollywood Paws picked me up the night before and I slept over. I jumped out of the crate a few times and they finally said (well, I can't really say what they said but ...expletive...you fill in the blanks, caught me and just said "Blank it Rocky" and put me on a woman assistant's lap in Joel's Van. I loved the shoot and got to wear a tux along with Steve who is promoting his new movie. I'm hoping I made the cut as many times as you know in show biz, you get editted out, but the USA Today Newspaper this Sunday will show whether I made the grade! Either way you get paid, but I enjoyed Steve alot. He was all business and so was I so no goofing around on this shoot!
Also, doing another shoot on the 12th about a Travel magazine on how to travel with pets. Another agent and highly professional trainer is taking me to that one and I am also up for the 18th.
I'll keep you posted. Also, again, I was submitted for a reality TV show about dogs and their fun life through a friend of mommy's . She did the audtion! They loved me in my you Tube videos. So, cross your fingers gang!
That's all for now!

New Commercial: Blue Cross/Blue Shield Michigan!
Good morning fans!
I am so excited! Well.....actually a bit exhausted and had been snoozing and sleeping in this morning! I'm dictating this blog to mommy so she can type for me. We completed the shooting of the regional commericial for TV showing in Michigan yesterday for Blue Cross/ Blue Shield! I was so happy to represent a company that my mom actually sells for. We got up early yesterday morning and mommy packed my whole kit of tools I need for my acting craft. They included a huge satchel which she holds under her arm filled with balls, bully sticks, a blanket for me to rest on, a "cooling outfit" should it get too hot to cool me off between takes, plenty of water ,a cup for water, loads of treats and a special huge stuffed toy about twice as big as me so I can play with it to get me all excited and make me smile on cue!
She did not feed me breakfast (darn it! ) but this is part of the price of being a dog actor! She actually gave me a tiny treat as she also didn't want me to get car sick. We drove to Pasadena and entered a special lot for the "crew area only". They had a nice catering truck and as it was early in the morning, mommy gathered up a cup of strong coffee, I played with the guard, she had a bit of breakfast and then we were transported by a special private shuttle to the set location.
It was at an adorable craftsman home in Pasadena on a wide tree lined street and looked like we were back east in the country. We entered our large trailer and were joined by the production manager and production people who were scurrying around with walky talkies and making it all happen behind the scenes.
My call time to arrive was 10:00am but mommy made sure we were much earlier than that. I excitedly played with the pretty production manager whom mommy actually knows and got myself into a crazed happy state. I began happily panting and they all began shooting vidos of me on their respective I-phones, until mommy put a halt to the craziness and demanded I get some rest! She is a real "buzz-kill" sometimes! They were all laughing at me as I get a huge smile like the cheshire cat in Alice In Wonderland or the "joker" of Batman fame! She wrapped me in my blanket and got me to calm down on a nice leather sofa to get some "shut-eye" so I could be ready for the commercial and being on the real set.
About 11am the little boy arrived that was to be in my scene. He was only 4 years old and adorable. I tried to approach him but he was a bit afraid of me at first. Mommy soothed him and assured him I was "friendly" and played with small kids all the time. We later spoke to the dad and he said his child actually owns a Standard Poodle and one other larger dog....so I thought...why be scared of me I'm 1/4 their size! We became friends and he wanted to continually give me treats. Again, mommy put a halt to that! Yikes!
Our scene was in a gorgeous old craftsman home where we were in the kitchen with the mom in the scene and then we scampered into the living room on cue and ran out and played. Then, the took the cameras to the mom talking about the need for health insurance and reviewing the Blue Cross/ Blue Shield plans!
I nailed it on one take but they seemed to want me to continually do this. They had the boy follow me out, show me the treats and "reward me" off camera. Mommy actually was in the living room and quietly cued me to run out to the cameras. There was alot of commotion and about 4 or 5 cameras, many crew people. loads of cables and cords mommy was trying not to trip over as the living room was small and filled with the crew. Also, between takes, the kitchen was being swarmed with the make up people to powder the noses of the mom and cute boy. Hey, what am I .....chopped liver! Mommy had the brilliant idea of putting me in a red bandana and everyone loved it.
Also, off the set, the clients were watching the filming and laughed hysterically as they saw me cock my head to the side whenever mommy placed me in the kitchen, left and was in another room. I was saying"hey, where did she go and my expression had a big funny question mark on my face". They thought I was hysterical and adorable and ate it up! I"m so happy it went well and the crew, the gals off set and the production team and director really appreciated my cooperation and applauded mommy's great concentration and ability to get me to perform properly and not waste their time. It was officially declared a "wrap" and I was able to schmooze with the pretty women in the living room and fool around with them. They all took many unofficial personal photos and videos of me and really had a great time with me. Mommy looked exhausted so she took me out and at 1:30PM she had a great lunch which included a delcious salmon dish, loads of beautiful salads and green beans. I was under the table trying to steal scraps but she pulled me towards her and just gave me my own dog treats! I ran to the pasta bar whenever anyone dropped food on the grass...I was there to clean it up! She wasn't too happy about that. Also, being under the table I almost accidentally pulled a card table chair and it was about to fall right on my head when a camera man came to my rescue and hurried and got it away from me!
Well, that ended that! Mommy quickly scooped me up and demanded I sit on her lap and be still. It began to rain a bit very slightly at the end, but we were protected under a canopy. Mommy thanked the production manager, director and clients and we signed our "time cards" and prepared to head back home.
I'm truly loving this show biz career and mommy had a blast doing it too. We make a great team and I love her very much! Even though she is a bit strict sometimes....she is the best mommy in the world and takes my interests to heart and makes sure I'm under her excellent wing! We would love to work with the Blue Cross/ Blue Shield team again. They are very professional and it worked like a well greased engine!
Until later!

Halloween Party, Art Gallery, Photo Shoot?
Hi Gang,
Since we spoke last I've been on a whirlwind of activities. I volunteered to entertain 24 kids at the Boys and Girls Club for Halloween and we had a blast. Because the weather was unseasonably warm, I wore a lighter "chick magnet" sleeveless shirt which the kids loved. We gave out loads of prizes including a prize to guess my new trim fitting weight (22 pounds), how old I am, what kind of dog am I etc. There were about 6 prizes so loads of kids won. They also did loads of tricks with me and most wanted me to dance or spin.
We gave out candy, took photos and all the kids gathered around me for a photo shoot. Mommy took her sister Deborah this time and had a blast.
Then, I tried out for a photo shoot so wish me luck. I don't know whether they chose me yet, but I'd be on the bag of a famous dog food! I'd love to win and be an international star!
On Friday night I invited mommy to another art gallery showing at the Trunk Gallery and it was fascinating. The art was actual wood sculptures from Alaska with ornate Indian faces and masks and then it looked like "fake fur" to make them almost human objects. They were quite intimidating but fabulous. Everyone loved me, petted me except for one man who didn't want to pet me. I got him though......I siddled into him and pushed my little tough body next to his lower legs and shoes and he was laughing and then almost forced to pet me or I wouldn't move. Many people call Frenchies the Joker as we are quite silly and funny. I truly live up to my name!
Until next time,

Bottom Feeding is not What's It's Cracked up to Be!
Dear Fans,
Since I've been a young pup in April 26, 2006 and my mommy got me in August 26, 2006 I have slowly been known to be a dog that looks all over the floor, ground and anywhere I can for extra scraps of food, bits of dust, anything that remotely looks like something I can eat.
My mom as of late has referred to me in the last year as a true "Bottom Feeder". I know shell fish are known for this habit such as shrimp, crab and lobster and it's not truly a good trait. It means we "scrape from the bottom" to find things to eat.
I know she has been frustrated with me as I'm very short, have a small nose, so I constantly stop her on our walks or when I'm in a new home or place of business to sniff everything on the floor.
Well, the other day, this habit of bottom feeding "did me in"! I ended up getting very sick to my stomach, throwing up and then my body was shaking from head to toe! Mommy went into high alert and panic mode. She called a couple Vets and they were totally backed up. Then, she whisked me away in the back seat of her car and drove as fast as she could without breaking the speed limit. She was about to turn on Sepulveda and go to an emergency hospital much further down the street, when she remembered a great vet a Sinai Animal Hospital on Venice Blvd. She veered out of the left lane, sped down the street and went in and out of local streets to try to turn on the right one. She stopped traffic as she had to parallel park on a tiny street and then held me tightly and ran into the vet.
My new 24 pound physique was quite a bundle to carry for a block. She was huffing and puffing and spewing the words out about" here's Rocky! He is having trouble breathing and shaking and sick to his stomach"! They were excellent. They took him quickly to get me oxygin. Then, proceeded to do a full set up Xrays and blood tests.
Mommy knew the vet as he owns 4 French Bull Dogs. They began a rapport and he showed her photos on his screen saver of his latest Frenchie girl who is a new champion and about 15 months old. Mommy mentioned she has some ability left to breed me at least one more time as she saved my sperm in the Valley at a special place. He seemed a bit more interested as he said" Rocky looks better and is more filled out"! I was declared an excellent patient. They looked at the Xrays and found loads of gas pockets in my stomach and some dark lining indicating a swallowed some food or something stuck in my tummy! Fortunately it wasn't big. They gave me two shots to coat my stomach, two sets of pills to take home. $381.00 later I came home still feeling queasy and not eating.
Mommy watched me closely for two days and forced me to take the pills. By the second day I was much better and eating rice and a bit of normal dog food! Darn it! So boring! I was about to put my "nose to the grindstone" and grab a crumb that fell on the floor when mommy screamed" Nooooooooooooooo!" I looked up sheepishly and realized old habits die hard and so a bottom feeder I will be but try to be more careful with what I catch in my mouth!
Until we meet again!

My latest Girlfriend.....Alice!
Good evening fans!
I must say, mommy makes alot of new business friends and later they become new friends of hers.
We know the local "baker" who is going to open up a wonderful shop on Grandview Ave in Mar Vista.
Mommy met her about 4 months ago in the summer at a Mar Vista Block party with 100's of people including a councilman was there! She impressed mommy at the time with her fabulous multi berry homemade pie and delicious crust!
Since then, we have gone to two of her house parties. She lives above the business which is not officially opened yet to the public.
She is a very tall, lanky, pretty young lady named Alice! I didn't realize she has an affinity for French Bull Dogs and has grown quite fond of me. We went to visit her late afternoon yesterday and mommy had delicious homemade coffee and waited until Alice opened her magical oven and brought out delcious home made bite sized scones with figs and red walnuts! They were divine! I know, as I was being my typical "bottom feeding self" and ate the crumbs that fell on the floor. Well, Alice saw I was hungry and thought mommy didn't feed me. Little did she know, I had just eatten a fabulous dinner but had room for more! I'm not one to refuse good treats.
She brought out some nice cheese and proceeded to have me do my assortment of tricks for her while she rewarded me with the cheese. I got a bit frisky and ran back and forth really fast on Alice's hardwood floors.
All of a sudden we were laughing and playing at a feverish rate! I got a bit too excited and held onto Alice's arm for dear life! Alice didn't realize how strong I am for a 24 pound little Frenchie. When I get my mind to it and get into an excited frenzy, my grip turns into a "death hold" and I don't let go! She laughed and giggled and mommy had to extracate me from Alice's poor slim arm! I was so exhausted I was panting and when I pant, I have the most enormous cheshire grin on my face! I look like the "Joker" from Batman! Alice smiled and took loads of photos of me.
She is very nice and mentioned I might inspire her to make special scones for dog biscuits which I would certainly encourage her to do! Maybe she can name them after me, Rocky the Angel's Special Dog Biscuits and Bites! Anyways....I can always dream.
Now besides my girlfriend Rosey (the French Bull Dog), Louise (mommy's good friend, I now have a crush on Alice! She is sweet as "pie"...no pun intended and I think I will enjoy our visits to her shop. I promise next time to tone it down a bit and not get so excited! She is thinking in the future of getting a french bull dog girl and maybe I can use my last vials of frozen sperm to mate to her and give mommy one of my daughters! Well.....I digress..... one can always dream....
Talk later!

Talk later!

Playing with Chassidic Jewish Children....
Good evening fans!
I had a funny experience when mommy took me and a girlfriend for a walk at Burton Chase Park in Marina Del Rey the other day! We were walking along and then I started walking really fast as I smelled delicious BBQ chicken. We came upon a whole band of Chassidic Iranian Jews which were a few families having fun with their kids. All were very religious and protective and the parents were "curious about me" but at the same time cautioning their kids to "keep away from me"! They were bewildered but then chasing after me. About 6 kids were feeding me table scraps amidst the screams of their parents to "be careful" don't touch Rocky's water bowl ...it's filthy, things like that! I was just trying my hardest to cuddle up to the children and beg for more white rice and delcious chicken.
One older boy who must have been 10 held me leash, but not being used to touching a dog was afraid to pet me. They had a "push pull" relationship as they came only so close and then squealed and ran away. The older boy would pull on my leash while mommy tried to tell him not to pull me so hard. When she asked if he would merely pet my back, he wouldn't and ran off.
We tried to leave them, but I became like the piped piper of Marina del Rey and a whole band of all their relatives started chasing after me and screaming in my ear with delight and fear! Their parents were getting all flustered as they didn't wish all their kids to run away. They were very cute and very funny. Mommy was getting tired of them as she was trying to take me home and drop me off as she and her friend Louise wanted to see a fun movie. It took 1/2 hour to finally get them to go back to their parents! It was a major adventure for them and a couple of them put their little chubby fingers on me for about 10 seconds to touch my fur and barely pet me. I'm happy I got them to see I'm not scary at all and love kids and everyone giving me loads of attention!
Until later!

Trunk Gallery Art Gallery Party!
October 6, 2012 mommy took Deborah and I to a great neighborhood art gallery showing. The party was around 7:30PM and had some nice modern art and also sculptures there. There were so many people and the food and drinks mommy said was excellent.
Now you must know me by now....I"m a true "bottom feeder"...meaning that because I"m so close to the ground and my legs are so short, I smell every crumb and piece of food that falls to the floor and grab it like a real little pig! When I"m around, no one has to clean the floor.. so that is one good thing about this bad habit.
Mommy can't stand it as I"m constantly stopping and pulling her to stop and smell the floor and grab at food. My sense of smell is so heightened it makes it difficult for her to relax sometimes and enjoy the event as I"m constantly pulling her in all directions.
They even had a special catering truck at the party but they left as the owner also had a lot of her own catered food so it seemed to conflict a bit with the truck. The people were friendly and everyone was taking my photo. In fact, the owner, Ann sent us two cute photos of me in my army outfit and mommy in her black top and pants.
So many younger girls loved me and held me and gave me so much attention. I truly enjoy going out on the town and love that mommy includes me in her activities.
On Sunday October 7, 2012 Mommy took me to the Abbott Kinney Festival. It was a huge event with literally thousands of people and it became too much of a mob scene. There was loud music, many booths, food and wares. We finally sat down at a booth with a brown leather sofa to relax and loads of young guys in their 20's and 30's and cute gals came to me like a "chick magnet"! All wanted to take me home. I took advantage of the situation and let them all scratch me on my hind legs and massage my back! Boy was I in heaven. Many of the people said how adorable I was and took many photos. I bet I"m the screen saver on many people's computers and I phones. I had an adorable smile on my face with my funny looking crooked teeth. The only bad part....mommy's parking space was over 1/2 mile away and in the heat it seemed like it took forever. I was pooped out and enjoyed collapsing in my cool home with mommy! Now I'm ready for the new week!
Until later!

Happily Blogging again!
Good morning Fans!
I mentioned I tried out for a potential reality TV show about Hollywood Paws that they may create. I did well on the interview which was nerve wracking as there were about 6 other dogs in a circle all waiting one at a time to perform their tricks and also have their owners discuss all the nice things they do for the community, what groups they are a member of, etc.
One dog claimed it knew 150 tricks and followed 150 hand signals from it's owner. When mommy told her boyfriend about this, he said without flinching "Oh, you should have said Rocky does over 200 tricks"!! "not" LOL.
Anyways, I have made a concerted effort to be more cooperative with mommy these last two weeks. When she does the command "speak" I truly try to speak louder and bark more rather than my quiet" woof-woof"! We frenchies are NOT normally known for barking a lot. We are more of the polite, delicate French natured dogs. What am I saying...I don't even consider myself a dog. I mean, everyone around me calls me an "angel"!!
Lately I have been invited by mommies business friends to parties. One gal, Alice is starting her own fabulous bakery business on Grandview Blvd in Mar Vista! I went on a business meeting with mommy a couple months ago to discuss future health insurance for her and her future employees. She may buy a French Bull Dog girl one day and mate her to me! Mommy would be thrilled as she would love to have my daughter as I get older. My dad, The Rock is still alive and kicking at over 12 years old and we have longevity in our genes. My grandpa was probably close to 14 years old when he died. Then, I went to a party gathering "soft opening" that Alice had and was the only dog there. She gave me a piece of ham and I looked for all the crumbs of the baked goods that hit the floor and cleaned up! I so cleaned up, that unfortunately I"m 2 pounds heavier than normal (24 pounds) instead of my smaller fighting weight of 22 pounds! Mommy may have her friend Louise expand my Count Dracula costume and put Velcro waist band so I can fit into it for the yearly Halloween Party I put on for 24 screaming, delighted kids at the Boys and Girls Club! They love me so much and I do tricks for them, we play games and give them candy and prizes! Mommy rolls me into the Boys and Girls Club in a baby buggy!
Tonight I'm going to an Art Gallery opening with mommy and her sister Deborah and possibly one other friend. The owner and I are "tight" and again I"m the only dog showing up. The owner of the Trunk Gallery on Venice Blvd is very talented and took photos of me and included me on her web site! So, as you see I get around. Alright, I'm signing off now! I will keep you informed about the party tonight.

Hi fans! Longtime no write! I have been super busy with a whirl wind of activities. Mommy got this crazy idea of auditioning me in a new reality TV show about my Hollywood Paw Agency! It was alot of fun but stiff competition. I did all my tricks and pulled out all the stops. Mommy said they are replacing the Ceaser Milan show. I hope it gets produced as I'm an excellent spokes dog for the the agency. I believe they will use a variety of dogs. Besides that, mommy has been busy hoarding my commercials and showing them to everyone she can get her hands on!!
We are hoping for the best and want my videos to go viral like Justin Bieber! I must run, so more details to follow!
Love,

Rocky Tries out for new show
Rocky is in the midst of trying out for a new possible reality TV show. Wish him luck. We had a great interview last Friday and he wore his cute Michael Jordan outfit. He was very adorable and was chilling out with the Production management team. They filmed him and I and we had a lot of fun!
Wish us the best of luck. He is also doing another Halloween party at the Boys and Girls Club of Venice at the end of October. He is keeping himself at his fighting weight of 22 pounds and truly milking his up and coming celebrity. He insists on daily back massages and a friend of mine has been delegated to scratching his hind quarters and he returns the favor by licking her legs and toes.
