Good morning fans!
I've been busy with loads of Xmas parties and donating my time entertaining even at Channukah parties!
We went this weekend to the Ronald MacDonald Home for kids with Cancer and other serious diseases and brought over 40 larger beanie babies for the boys and girls. We played with a couple kids and gave them good cheer.
Yesterday we dropped over 24 cute teddy bear beanie babies with Irish sweaters on them for the Boys and Girls Club. Mommy was on Wendy's fabulous radio show on Dec 8, 2009 and you may look her up under
http://www.wendynanrees.com/ and find the drop down for her radio show and it will send you to another page where you may go to the archives and hear her live on the air! It was all about therapy dogs and how to make your dog a therapy dog. Mommy and Wendy laughed alot on the air and had a great time! Mommy did a great job of informing the public of the serious need to create more therapy dogs to help others.
Have a wonderful holiday! Until later..

Christmas Event on Montana Ave Brentwood
HI fans!
Sorry I haven't written in awhile. I did go back to the dementia clinic and had a great time! My mommy is leaving for Cancun, Mexico in a few days and I won't have access to a computer for a week.
So, we went on Dec 4, 2009 at night to the annual Xmas walk on Montana! Montana, for those of you who don't know California is a gorgeous street in Brentwood area. Once a year they open up all the shops at night and 100's of people come to see the stores, they serve apple cider and egg nog , cookies , meatballs, etc and have carrollers singing great Xmas songs!
Mommy was creative and dressed me in my old Santa Claus outfit, complete with beard and red sweater and put me in a baby buggy with red and green streamers! She elegantly rolled me down the street from shop to shop with her sister and a friend, but her sister starting giving her glares as she kept rolling over her feet! Ouch!!
Anyways, kids came swarming upon me and over 30 school kids were screaming and laughing in glee when they saw a little "Santa Pup"! and took loads of photos with me. I'm sure I"m on more screen savers and will be used to make more Christmas cards this year as I truly looked like a munchin Santa with a wrinkled head and muzzle! Parents, and older people all smiled and laughed as at first they were expecting to see a real baby under the blanket! Nope! It was just the angel therapy dog Rocky looking funny as ever. I had a great time as I was rolled up and down the streets and could sleep and relax except when the people insisted on taking my photo! Mommy kept yelling at me: Rocky: watch me, watch me, pose, etc. I was very cooperative and looked at mommy straight in the eye so that all the Iphones got my photo perfectly.
We had a great time and created good cheer for 100's of people. What a mom I have...always thinking of ways to make people laugh and have fun and give fond memories to kids who will talk about me for years!
I must run. We will continue after she gets back from Cancun!

Visiting Opica right before Thanksgiving 2009!
HI fans!
Mommy took me Tuesday morning to Opica which is the day care activity center for adults with dementia. It was very special today as one particular lady that normally acts very quiet and "catatonic" and does not even look us in the eyes, all of a sudden she reached out to mommy and put her hand out to her! Mommy was so touched, she almost cried and grabbed the lady's hand and held it for a long while! What a wonderful breakthrough and connection.
I was bounced from one person to the next and sat on their laps and gave everyone so much joy! They all laughed as I kept following mommy's eyes and made sure she didn't leave me! The people are so grateful that I"m there. I wished everyone a Happy Thanksgiving and they all smiled at me and laughed. I'm so happy to cheer everyone up!
Happy Holidays!

Checking in After Halloween!
HI Fans!
Sorry I've been remiss keeping up with this log! Mommy has closed a real estate deal so we're "in the money" again and she's not only paying off some important bills (and thank God she didn't touch me greeting card "trust fund"and borrow from Peter to pay Paul!!) and will get to go to Cancun this early December as she got what she refers to as a "smokin" deal!!
I have gone back to the Dementia Day Clinic for adults at Opica and they still remembered me as I hadn't been there in a couple weeks. I was a bit off that day and acting a bit babyish and clung to my mommy...which didn't help them too much. But finally, mommy pulled me off her arm that I was clinging to for dear life and put me on many of the patients' laps and made them smile and laugh with me. I think they felt sorry for me as they saw how sad I looked that day! I'm not always perfect and something must have hit me. But, once I got into the swing of things...basically allowing them the "honor" of petting me and pampering me I came out of my gloom and doom and started entertaining them!!
Anyways, I"m going to try to squeeze in one or two visits this next week before Thanksgiving. Mommy is taking me to one of my favorite vacation spots: Carlsbad, California to visit some very close friends. They have a huge Italian family and are such a warm, funny kick to be around. I can't wait. Besides, mom needs a break from hussling selling my cards, selling real estate and selling phone systems.
That's it for now!

2009 Halloween Party at Boys and Girls Club
Hi my fans! Mommy, me, Michelle her real estate partner and her dear friend Dorothy took me to the Venice Boys and Girl's Club to do a huge Halloween party! Around 30 kids showed up! I dressed as Count Dracula. We showed them my tricks and then had them give me treats and teach me tricks! It was great. The kids were really nice, a bit excited and noisy, but we played loads of games with them. Michelle came up with a fabulous game of "who are you dressing up as" for Halloween and had them act out the character and see if we could guess! One little boy did President Obama and made a very mature speech! Mommy gave out loads of candy and all and all we had a great time. I will post the photos when they come out!
On Saturday night, Halloween, again I wore Count Dracula and my auntie Debbie, my mom and I joined Patty and walked up and down Montana Ave in Brentwood. We were hysterical as I was in a baby buggy and loads of kids came up to me and took photos with me. Mommy and her friends are like kids and actually got candy from the fancy stores and even got me special dog cookies. We ended up walking up the wealthy neigborhood and saw a house decorated like Pirates of the Carribean with haunted house characters and cemeteries, etc. It was soooo scary when mommy stepped near a fake large rat in a rat trap! We all screamed! The line to get in the home was 1/2 way down the street. There were loads of police there to protect the neighborhood and I had to act silly and threw myself on the street and rolled around and kicked up my heels in front of them! Young teenage boys yelled and got scared and thought because I was kicking up my feet that I had been run over!! This led to mommy promptly pulling me up by my halter collar and leash and telling me to behave myself. So, unbeknownst to her, when they went to another home, I pulled mom so hard I ended up in the huge mansion and started racing from room to room! The owners' kids started laughing as I was taking my "virtual" tour of their living room, piano, etc. She finally scooped me up and we left. So fans, HAlloween was a tremendous success! The next day I had one final event: a West LA frenchie party and dressed up again, but this time as a bunny rabbit. It was so hot at the park with 30 other Frenchies that we left within an hour so mommy could go to a great open house.
That's it for now! More to follow.....

Halloween Parties 2009!
HI All,
Well, it's that busy time of year already! Mommy took me to Hollywood Paws (my talent agency's) pre-Halloween party two weeks ago! We had a blast, but I was so exhausted as during the day I had also sold my cards at the annual Paddle Tennis Contest! We both dressed as bunny's but she was more the "playboy bunny" and I was the bunny rabbit!
The only silly thing that happened was mommy was interviewed by KCal TV for a Petshow segment and was going on and on about me and my exploits with Zac Efron, with Dog Tales TV, with all my volunteer work and training. When they asked to see my tricks, she put me on the ground and I was so exhausted from the selling of my cards at Venice Beach, that I fell over on my side and fell asleep. I had my legs stiff like riga-mortis and I looked like I was out cold. She pushed me on my side and said to the TV crew: Well, he's now doing "on his side"! They laughed but the interview went cold after that! The only thing they wanted was to see the Zac Efron photo shoot and I said: Call my agent!!
So, yesterday Mommie and I went to The Ronald MacDonald House for kids with major diseases like cancer, lupis, etc. They had it all decorated like a Halloween haunted house and fabulous witches, etc. I did my silly tricks and this time performed like a champ!! Too bad I didn't impress mommy at the TV appearance interview! I dressed as Count Dracula in a scary costume and cape and mommy was Elvira in a long Black wig and gorgeous black dress. We took loads of photos with the kids, they loved me and I was a big ham!! I rolled over, did sommersaults and acted like Snoopy kicking my legs up in the air wildly! They taught me tricks and the kids were fabulous! What a wonderful therapuetic evening and even though the kids mostly didn't speak English: again alot of kids from Iraq and from Guam, etc...we had a special communication and the kids all understood the language of love and laughter.
Tomorrow night Mommy is putting on another Halloween Party at the Boys and Girls Club for 22 children and handing out loads of candy treats and video movie prizes for the children that win certain games. She is taking her ral estate partner and another close friend and again I'll be little count dracula! I know we'll make the kids laugh and smile as they love me alot!
Boy, it is fun to be a therapy dog and bring joy to all I see!
By for now!

Special Dementia Clinic Program I created!
Good morning fans!
Just to let you know, we had a very successful morning on October 16, 2009 entertaining about 40 Dementia Patients at OPICA for an hour! Mommy lead the presentation and made it extremely interactive. She introduced both of us, asked them to guess what type of dog I was and created contests with the questions and answers! She asked how much I weighed and one woman guessed exactly 22 pounds! We gave her a free greeting card of mine and she loved it. We drew upon their own memories with dogs and got the patients to participate. Also, we showed my TV show from 2 years ago on Dog Tales.
One of the volunteers told my mom she was a natural "teacher" and very patient and should think about this as an alternate career! Mom did get a teaching credential in the mid 70's from UCLA but didn't use it alot and got into sales!
So, this is a nice hobby for her and I enjoy it as they all give me treats and also pick me up and pet me! We had a great time. The next day we went to the Paddle Tennis Doubles Tournament at the beach and again sat at the Wilson Booth. People remembered me, of course and bought more of my greeting cards! It was very hot so we stayed until 1PM as I was drained. That night we went to my Hollywood Paws Party and mom and I dressed as bunnies...she a "playboy bunny" and a platinum wig and me an easter bunny!
I was so tired, that when she was interviewed on KCAL TV for a petshow, I literally fell asleep on the floor! Mom was beside herself as this doesn't really show off all the tricks I've learned. Next time she'll bring treats and put them under my nose like smelling salts!!
By for now!

Greeting Cards a Hit on Venice Beach Boardwalk!
HI all,
My mommy has been a bit under the weather..her yearly "bronchial" stuff, so she didn't let me use her computer! Finally, here is the update! On Saturday we went to Venice Beach, California with all the crazy people and were invited to sit at the Wilson Booth for sporting goods as a paddle tennis tournament was going on and the head champion of the country loves me so much, she said come and sell my cards!!
We did fairly well and plan to do it again. I find when I throw myself on the pavement in front of 100's of people and do my silly stuff like the crawl or rolling around, people begin to take photos like the papparazzi and then I cooly direct them to my booth! We had alot of fun. We were supposed to go to the Ronald Mac Donald Home for kids with cancer to entertain them and cheer them up yesterday, but mommy was sick and thought it a real bad idea to go. Darn it! I really enjoy being with kids. We're still on for our annual Halloween Party at the Boys and Girls Club on the 29th of October at 4PM and plan to dress as Count Dracula and have mommy dress as Elvira. She even has a long black wig so it should be fun.
That's it for now! Talk soon.

Alright: My greeting cards are Truly Launched!!
HI everyone!
I'm so excited that my greeting cards are launched on Wendy's web site! We got our first order yesterday!!
I'm also going to make a guest appearance at the National Paddle Tennis Tournament sponsered by Wilson this Saturday October 10, 2009 from 9am to 4PM (I'll be there for a few hours in the morning) to be the "mascot" and sell my cards in person! You're all welcome to come!
We've been a bit busy doing work both the phone systems that my mom sells and the real estate on the side and then my business! So, although I've had a couple play dates with Rosey, we got too busy and haven't yet gone to the dementia clinic. We will though probably tomorrow.
I'm also doing a special one hour program for them next Friday at OPICA and show my Dog Tales TV show appearance and entertain them again. We like to do this interactively so they use their minds and jog their memory banks as dementia is a sad condition that comes on to many people and we're trying to "fight against" it and make them emotionally and mentally whole!
Thanks for understanding! That's it for now...

Visiting OPICA: Outpatient Dementia Clinic
Hey all!
Sorry I haven't written in a few days. Mommy has kept me busy plus I've been in a bad mood as I had an ear infection and she keeps throwing drops down my ear which really tickles me and bugs me! Anyways, I"m much better so we went to the Dementia Clinic in West LA and had a ball with the people. They may want me to come for their Halloween Parade and I'd be thrilled as I already have my Count Dracula Costume in "tow"! I'm reserved so far also for the Boys and Girls Club to put on a Halloween show on the 29th of October.
I was passed around the people like a bowling ball! They all love to hold me and think of me as a stuffed toy! They smile and interact with me and I do believe I have a tremendous impact on them and make them feel good and jog their memories to ask about me! I fell asleep on one lady and then I actually licked one assistant's toes. She is in a wheelchair and goes barefoot so I made her feel good by sucking on her toes. Don't worry! This is a Frenchie characteristic and normal behavior for us funny dogs.
On another note, I went to visit Rosey to make sure she wasn't all upset that I date other dogs too. I gently explained to her that Georgie Girl is on her way out and I'm phasing Rosey as my main squeeze and have one back up girlfriend dog named Maria. Maria lives right down the street and isn't quite so hyper and possessive so I must remind mommy to take me there again too.
With Rosey, she is such a girl! She literally screams out loud when she hears me coming towards her gate. She even pushes her foot underneath the gate to "reach out" to try to touch me. I look down at the lone foot and just shake my head thinking : Oh boy!! We're in for some wild fun again.
I truly love playing with Rosey but I must ask her to be a bit less forceful as she literally keeps my cheek in her mouth and all my extra folds of skin (that protect a frenchie) in her mouth and then she drags me around by the cheek!!
We're fine when we chase each other and race really fast around her backyard. There is plenty of water and we just roll around in the water and become really messy. But, we can't stop touching each other, even when we're exhausted....so I guess this must be true love! I'm getting there...I know she's in love with me but it takes us guys a bit longer to realize I may have to "commit" to her alone. In the meantime, it's good for mommy as she had a date for dinner and I get all my fun and exhaustion so she can enjoy her evening. All is good so I'll keep you informed of new developements with Rosey and my other career activities. I believe, by the way that my greeting cards will be on line officially in about 3 days. Mommy is just sorting out the last details of costs. I know when she walks and people see me, they buy cards out of her hands immediately as they all love me so much! What a phenomenon!! I'm happy she's creating a new stream of income that she will enjoy.
By for now!

By for now!

When two of My Girlfriends meet accidentally: ...Art imitates Life!
Good evening everyone!
Well,
I had a great time this early evening with one of my gal-pals, Rosey the French Bull Dog who is probably going to end up on one of my greeting cards for birthdays with me! Rosey is highly "oversexed" even though both she and I are dogs without breeding capability anymore! She is so hyper and wildly passionate to me our owners have decided to put us both on leashes the first 5 minutes we see each other, otherwise she is totally all over me and fiercely grabbing my rolls of skin around my neck and pulling at me so hard...she won't let go! So, mommy and her mommy supervised our date and even with the 5 minute rule...she was wild and crazy with me. It is the only time I'm the 'beta" dog ever!! So we played for 45 minutes in between me grabbing my breath for the water bowl. Fortunately it was a fall evening and cool so we didn't over heat too much. I ran so fast and hard that mommy saw me do the "tootsie roll" which is basically me rolling 3 times over and landing on my feet like a real ice skater! For a frenchie I look so lithe and like a ballet dancer.
Well, while we were playing and racing all over mommy's friend's backyard, I overheard Rosey's mom tell my mommy that they were walking Rosey on the Venice Beach path one night and bumped into a man name Lloyd and his large 80 pound heinz variety dog, Georgie Girl! Well, my ears started burning, as Georgie Girl is one of my other girlfriends with whom I did a private "love" video with and now it is all over U-tube! It is called Rocky loves big Beautiful Bitches. I feel like Paris Hilton when she got caught making love on a video and then it was blasted all over the world! Now my secret love life with the "bigger" woman ..the dog named Georgie Girl is spread all over the world. Wouldn't you know it...the owner Lloyd said to his dog outloud : Hey, Georgie Girl....nope, that isn't your boyfriend Rocky! Rosey's owner was so shocked as I am known all over the Marina as a little cassanova, that she explained to Lloyd that Rosey is one of my girlfriends too! Maybe that is why Rosey was so possessive of me and nipping at my feet tonight and wouldn't let me go!! She was "making her mark and putting love bites all over my face"!! She heard out loud that I have at least one other girlfriend. Truth be told, I've put Georgie Girl on the back burner as there is also another pretty dog named Maria that lives down the street and is about 45 pounds and quite the dominatrix also!! Boy, I see I can sure get into trouble with my little french bulldog boyish ways. I must be a bit more discreet. I'm thinking of telling my mommy to "nix" the U-tube and cut down on my exposure as I"m recognized everywhere I go! I see mommy sometimes smiles as more people truly stop me and yell across the street" Is that Rocky!!" When mommy smiles yes, they say:" Boy, I have really missed him and haven't seen him in awhile."
I guess I've imitated some of mommy's boyfriends as I've over heard that they are typical hound dogs also and haven't narrowed down the playing field yet! So, as they say...Art imitates life...and I've watched too many human men playing the field and thought I might do so too!!
I know this is not truly good for my image as being an angel therapy dog, but we all have the wild side and the good side and I'm a bit of both!!
I think mommy and I are sleeping early tonight so we can get up and I will show my good side and be a therapy dog by day and visit the OPICA dementia day care center for adults tomorrow and get back my focus and lay off the ladies for awhile until Rosey's temper blows over! She is fun to play with as we're both Frenchies and have very similar styles. Hopefully, she'll calm down a bit as we get more into our relationship so we can just "chill together"... and still have fun!
Good night for now!

Boy! I sure get schmushed alot!
Hey fellow therapy dog lovers!
Your angel-friend Rocky had a fabulous day getting kissed, hugged, squeezed, tickled, petted, jostled, etc.....It all started because the day was very overcast and mom woke up tired as she had a wild fun night with a friend laughing all night long!! They were carrying on about the silliest things, watching movies on TV and laughing hysterically! Well, for once, mommy woke up late...after 8:00am ...exhausted and thought she was going to go swimming many laps at the gorgeous Santa Monica College Pool but it got so over cast and "icky" outside, she just said ...forget it. She went to visit another gal pal and they sat at the infamous corner of Washington Blvd and Pacific Ave at Starbucks! I feel like this corner is like the Beverly Hills Schwab counter coffee shop where Lana Turner became famous! Every time I sit there with mommy, loads of semi professional, non professionals and everyone in between takes loads of photos of me!! I should start charging for this! They were going crazy over me because I was in my army outfit and dog tags and mommy told them I was in active duty in the army and on furlough right now taking a break from protecting the USA's freedoms! Most people looked at me very seriously and took her at her word and thanked me for all my patriotic support!! I just took this all in and dozed on mommy's lap until the next group of lookers came to pet me, pull at me and treat me like a rag doll!
Then, mommy went out to dinner in Brentwood sitting outside with me and a guy friend at a great dinner spot called Spamoni's Italian Restaurant. The food is reasonable and delicious.
I got so much attention and mommy had brought my greeting cards to show this guy and before he showed up to meet her there she had the owner of the gorgeous boutique next door come over to pet me and saw my pictures and he bought some and so did the owner of the shop!! Mommy was so excited that she gave them a card to call her if they wish to carry them and buy more!!
The nice thing is everyone says I'm so calm, picks me up like a real baby and coddles me in their arms. It is actually very sweet and I guess this is emotionally therapeutic for them as they coo all over me!! Mommy just smiles and is so happy she found me and saved me from the trials of being a real show dog like my entire family...mom, Murian, dad "The Rock" , Sister: Tina and Brother: Larry. She was smart enough to take cues from me and make me a therapy dog which at least is rewarding to me. Also she is making me the next famous Frenchie!! My cards are starting to really go over well ...I only started going door to door with mommy two weeks ago and they're starting to take off. We're going to a street fair tomorrow morning before mommy shows an open house in Westchester and she is going to bring some more of my cards in a gift bag as it appears when they see the real me, they want my greeting cards immediately! Well, gang, not to worry: they will soon be on a web site and I'll let you know how to order then "on line". Mommy promised to set aside the money in my own "Rocky" maximizer account at Bank of America so I'll be a tax paying dog and member of the American Capitalist Society. We later walked on the bluffs of Santa Monica but it was so foggy we couldn't see. We were warned fortunately by a dog walker that 4 raccoons were in the trees and so I made sure to stay away from them.
We later left the guy friend and went to visit my God mother, Louise STeinberg. She is a great friend of mommy's and had done the neck fitting for my Count Dracula costume. They squeezed me into it and the velcro idea was perfect. At the Halloween parties for kids she is going to take hypoallergenic eyeliner and make the dramatic Count Dracula Eyebrows over my forehead so I will look quite formidable!
Anyways, I am about to snooze as again, being coddled, hugged and squeezed by so many fans is rewarding but also exhausting! You must realize Frenchies are lazy dogs meant to be lap dogs and humorous dogs who get huge bursts of frenetic energy and make people laugh and then "crash and burn"! So, let me crash already as mommy again has big plans at the Abbott Kinney Fair tomorrow morning at 10am and I must be ready for the onslaught of friendly strangers coming up to me and feeling my calm, peaceful, loving energy.
xoxo

Ronald Mac Donald home: Visit children cancer patients and parents!
Good evening everyone!
Sorry it took so long to write this! We've been non-stop all day and night. From my mom working all day with phone systems sales, real estate later, and my career, she was totally exhausted and didn't let me type this until 11PM tonite when I asked her for access to her computer. Anyways, before we went to the Ronald Mac Donald Los Angeles Facility which is gorgeous and new and houses 40 families on a rotating basis, I had to have a "fitting" for my Count Dracula costume for all my Halloween gigs. Her friend Louise did a good job "squeezing my fat neck" a bit and extended some inches of velcro so my red bow tie and tux would look just perfect! Then, in a huff we rushed to drive down town LA. We got a bit lost and almost ended up on the freeway again going back home...when some kind people on the busy Vermont Blvd let us move over one lane before mommy almost panicked because she was heading towards a freeway ramp by accident.
Anyways, we made it safe and sound. It was my first visit and as mentioned the facility is clean and beautiful. We handled the situation very well for our first time with these kids. Of course, inside it is heart wrenching as they are small children and some were walking with totally hunched backs, one little girl was missing her hand, etc, etc. They were all very sweet and almost none of them spoke English. Of course, being a dog I spoke their language of love, but mommy tried Spanish with some (which worked a bit) and then realized a bunch were from Iraq and didn't understand a thing she said. At first they were scared of me, but she showed them my tricks I did for the peanut butter animal cookies. The one girl who was so reluctant, then laughed in glee and they all got on the ground and petted me alot and fed me the cookies. The told me they would miss me very much. We showed them my greeting cards and they laughed. One little boy took me for a walk and mommy was totally shocked as I am no longer a "momma's boy" and actually went easily with a stranger and the little boy pranced me around alot and got me working! We loved the children and their warmth and knew even with the language barrier that they felt our love and we felt theirs! They want us to come back, of course. We took loads of photos and even got invited to a major event in December where 200 people will come and the Christmas party will be catered. Last year it was from the Elegant Roosevelt HOtel so it should be lovely. I think I'll come back in a couple weeks. We always have to make a reservation as they post me on the calendar and "bill board" with a huge photo of me, the Angel Therapy Dog and make me feel welcome!
I came home to relax, but of course mommy had other plans. She has another new agent working on my behalf to be more agressive to get me into magazines with movie stars but also promote my cause of being a therapy dog. We spoke for over an hour with her, she is fabulous and has tremendous connections in the business and feels confident she'll get me on the "map to stardom"!! She pointed out many ways to do this including my greeting cards, my blog, of course and being associated with very famous stars that have integrity and their hearts are in the right place!
We were thrilled as she came to mommy's home and watched my TV show "Dog Tales" and will edit it and put it on a certain web site she has and on u-tube. What a busy day...as they say...a dogs day is never done!
I zoomed around the house like Beckham chasing after soccer balls at such high speed, the agent laughed incessantly and didn't realize how funny frenchies truly are. Then she saw me crash and burn 15 minutes later and saw that I'm a lover and lap dog at heart.
Well, mommy has signaled me to get off her computer so we can sleep. Again, what a great day and now off to dreamland!

Catching up!
Good evening everyone!
Sorry I have been remiss in writing, but Mommy has kept me busy and my head is spinning like a top! She got me this adorable Halloween outfit which is Dracula in a black cape, red bow tie and tux! It is perfect except my fat French Bull Dog neck is too wide so we're going to add some white velcro to it and move the bowtie! I look like Count Dracula and she will add some dark eye brows! So, let the festivities begin. She started by running to the store and getting candies for the kids and decorations. We're probably going to entertain at the Boys and Girls Club for a Halloween party. Then, there is my HOllywood Paws agency party, probably go to the dementia clinic in my costume and maybe one or two other parties! So, I'm being spread thin.
Today we approached another store to carry my adorable French Bull Dog Greeting cards of "moi"!! We've already gotten 3 major businesses to carry them on consignment. When we went to the HOllywood Paws party tonight, one of the agents there loved them and bought a few on the spot. We're also going to soon carry them on line...so I reminded mommy to create a Rocky bank account and make sure that is all "my money" not hers!!!Another friend of mommy's is kind and bringing them to the old aged home of her 93 year old mother in law as the people there love dogs and may buy some on Sunday! Boy, she is creating a big enterprise! My agent Gerri Chape is creating some other opportunities for me so my career is taking off. I have to remain forever humble, however and remember that above all else I report to "God" and he wants me to be of service to others first and then create abundance so I may be a source of overflow to give to others. I'm also helping mommy retire from her "day jobs" and feel the joy of working with me full time! So, life is good and now I must sleep. It is 10:30PM and she is exhausted from swimming all morning in an Olympic pool and taking me down town to my dog party with my agent. We had a blast and will report in once I have come home in a couple days and let you all know how the Ronald MacDonald HOme for children with cancer visit works out! Signing off for now.....xoxo Rocky the angel therapy dog!

A Therapy Dog must have Fun .....
Good evening one and all! I don't want you to think that because I'm a therapy dog I'm all "work and no play". I will let you in on a little secret....I'm a player at heart!
The one thing mommy loves about me most is I know how to entertain myself without anyone even playing with me. But, I also have a little harem of female dogs as I see mommy entertains more than one man in her life too! So, what's good for the goose is good for the gander!!
Today I played with Rosey! She is a longer version of me, a fawn french bull dog and about two years old! She is a hoot! She lives in the Marina and is a very aggressive little "hussy" if I do say so for myself! Before I even reach her backyard she is howling and carrying on for me, her entire body shakes like a motor and when her owner opens the gate...well, let's say we're "off to the races". We run in unison like two horses all around her backyard, then Rosie grabs me and won't let go! She kisses me so hard that I have bite marks on my sweet face. The only reason I object is that I do have other girlfriends and they get suspicious!
Today we had an especially great day. We're more in rhythm with each other and take rest breaks too! Mommy is becoming girlfriends with her mom so it works out perfectly! Also, because I pulled mommy too hard, I hurt her foot and she can't walk me so much...so running around with Rosey makes life easier and tires me out!
I'm thrilled to get all my energy out...as Bull Dogs like to have fun and some of mommy's boyfriends like to tease me and rough house me a bit also.
Well, good night for now! Looking forward to a great weekend and my therapy adventure on Tuesday night at the Ronald MacDonald House for cancer patients. Mommy may also buy me a new Halloween Costume as I need to visit the Boys and Girls club again and entertain them and bring them joy! Hopefully her foot will be better (I promised her I would heel more!! Can't wait to entertain the kids! She may buy me a shark costume if it looks good on me or a Dracula costume...we'll see.... signing off, xoxo Rocky!

Yesterday I was at O.P.I.C.A....can't remember what it all stands for but it is a day care for adults with dementia and a wonderful organization. Basically it is "Optimistic People in Caring Activities"...and helps dementia patients
have a great place to be and give relief to spouses and people that are caring for them at home.
They are in many stages and for the most part, many are clear but some in a mind fog and can't remember all that we say or that they do. Being a therapy dog, I'm here to support them, give them a focus of attention and also
through my animal warmth I communicate to them on a much deeper sensory level than a human being can!
One example is that these people may forget my owner, Ilisa's name but always remember my name Rocky! They ask for me, they love me and they respond to me. Of course, I must give mommy some of the credit as she looks them in the eyes and through her love and warmth kindly asks them if they like dogs. When they respond "yes" then and only then will she bring me towards them, or put me on their laps to pet me. That is it! My favorite part. Once, a lady was laying on the couch in more of a fetal position and fast asleep. I decided to quietly leap on the couch and nuzzled my strong little muscular bull dog body right next to her. I was basically trying to "spoon" her and the whole organization smiled and the lady felt my warmth and from then on in we were "best friends". We did a great program a couple months ago. I was in the TV Show Dog Tales a couple years ago, so mommy brought the DVD and did a 45 minute program where around 30 patients watched us "on stage" and she talked about dogs, how to take care of French Bull Dogs and began having an interactive session with them to get them to talk. She asked about remembering their dogs, the names of their dogs and some fun memories. Many of them raised their hands. Then she showed them my silly tricks and asked 5 of them to participate and taught them how to teach me a "trick". They gave me treats which I loved and then she gave them as a "prize" the newspaper articles (the whole newspaper) of me in the paper talking about my life and showing a cute picture! They all loved it. I must remember next time to get mommy to bring her camera to take photos of them with me and let them take it home. We then watched me on TV for 1/2 hour and it was a hit program. For all you owners that are "on the edge" of making your dogs a therapy dog, at least go through the training as it is good discipline for all animals to do canine good citizenship and the further training to show how to react in hospital and patient settings as many times they do things "suddenly" and the dogs must be able to be calm and not be quick to anger. In other words, some patients may jostle me about too hard, pet me the wrong way by grabbing me too much or holding my ears, etc. I cannot be impatient or angry. For me, being a French Bull Dog it comes natural to be a "lap dog" and the more attention the better. I don't ever take offense. And the best part, Frenchies don't truly have a tail. We look more like a cute little pig like in Charlottes Web...so the people can't "pull my tail" or taunt me!! Anyways, we are bonding more and more with these people and the shift in their personalities is evident! At first it was a bit dull being there as they were highly unresponsive to us. I felt a bit hurt until I realized it "wasn't about Rocky or Ilisa"! Once we got that new attitude, we kept coming and slowly but surely they now look forward to us and truly are impacted emotionally and mentally by our visits. Mommy is able to converse with them more and I get to do my favorite activity, lay back on my back and let them hold me, kiss me and love me! Wow..isn't life grand...and they call this work! Gotta run and eat my breakfast. Mommy has a busy work day. Talk more later.....xoxo Rocky!

Whoops...I snooze alot
Alright,
It's 3PM and you caught me (Rocky the famous Angel Therapy Dog snoozing again!) But, good news! We have a definite appointment at the Ronald Mac Donald Home on Lyman Down town LA next Tuesday night to see the children and families of cancer patients. We are excited about this opportunity and as a special angel with an important mission from God I"m going to hand hold mommy and show her how to be kind and gracious to younger children with cancer. Actually, they allow kids up to 20 years old so this will be my first visit there! My mommy had a minor stage almost less than stage one breast cancer in her left breast which is still 98% in tact, so she knows all about radiation, etc and we are bracing ourselves to be compassionate, empathetic and kind to these new children that need positive encouragement.
The Children at the Boys and Girls Club we owe a visit, however I have to see if my baby buggy (its the one that is old fashioned and probably 40 years old is in tact) as a wheel fell off it and mommy likes it when I'm in it as it's easier to roll me around and show me to all the children. Also, did you notice I'm a bit of a lazy, spoiled boy that although I love to give, I love this job because so many people love me and pet me all the time. This is a "no brainer" where I come from....get rolled around, endure the silly costumes she puts me into, put on big smiles, get treats for doing cute tricks and get all the kisses, pets, hugs, etc from all these people. I love it!!! So you owners on the sidelines and you dogs: go get your canine good citizenship awards and training to work in hospitals. There are two major organizations that do this: 1. Therapy Dog International (which is the one i'm using now) 2. Delta Society which caters to more of the huge hospitals. I would have done both, but for insurance purposes as I'm fully insured Therapy Dog International doesn't want you to volunteer for both organizations as a conflict of interest with insurance ensues!
Anyways, mommy had a friend of hers come over today for 15 minutes specifically to hold me down so she could give me my ear drops without me being difficult about it. They had a brilliant idea: show me treats on my nose and distract me so much grabbing the treats, that voila!! The liquid medicine went into both ears in a matter of moments!! Glad she has nice friends. I may go see one of my girlfriends today...that's a whole other story.... don't you dare tell anyone: I'm also called "Baby Cassanova"!!! I have learned from the best of them out there and see that having at least 3-4 gal pals at any one time is the best ever. Keeps me from getting too in love with any of them.
One of them is fading out. She is 80 pounds and I have to admit being 22 pounds I have "too much cluck for the buck'..with that one....see her and I on U-Tube: Rocky loves Big Beautiful Bitches.
I'm focusing more on Maria who is a Koren black dog, very active but 45 pounds and loves to push me around by my halter and flip me over like a pancake where I squeal on my back and kick up my legs like Snoppy ...but I "protest too much"! Then, the more logical choice is another Frenchie gal named Rosie: she is my color, longer than me, one year younger and loves me to death! I actually mean this almost seriously....
She loves me so much that before I come through the gate she is yelling and crying in exctiement, shaking her entire body like a generator motor and vibrating and racing with me and galloping in synch side by side in her owner's backyard. We look like two ponies with Jockey's on our backs racing side by side and almost connected at the hip! It is hysterical and mommy and her gal friend laugh hysterically.
I must watch out though as we have huge jowls and Rosie pulls at my face all the time with her teeth and gives me marks almost like the love bites mommy gets sometimes from agressive men!! ( I mean really....I watch everything in my home for God's sakes). One man said to mommy: It's the dog or me?!!! She said: hmmmmmmmmm......and smiled and compromised and said let's put Rocky on the floor and we'll sit on the bed so you won't be staring at a funny angel Rocky while trying to be romantic. I think most men are threatened just by performance anxiety and having a cute pig/dog stare at them is a bit disconcerting...so mommy hides me at night on her side of the bed.
I'll let you know if we get to play with Rosie today. She's a bit too jealous of me. I could never tell her I play with at least 2 other girl dogs. First of all, they have a 4 month old siamese type kitty which I stand on two legs and look at her through the french glass doors. Rosie is so jealous, she grabbed onto my foot once and tried to bite it!! I snarled at her and gave her a dirty look! She felt put in her place and continued to pout until my owner told me to stop with the kitty and play with the French Bull Dog......
So, we galloped along, she grabs me by my collar and throws me around and around in a circle on the pavement....so you can see, she is pretty obsessed with me. Then, even when we sit down after kissing, humping, jumping, running, barking and playing, she insists on putting her front paw over my paws (the boy is mine!!) so to speak she is saying.
We'll see.....what a life being so sought after!! But, the angel therapy dog can handle this and more...

Rockys soon to be second day!
Good evening everyone!
I'm snoozing a bit, so mommy is forced to write for me. Mommy takes such good care of me, but being an angel and a French Bull Dog one at that, my ears are huge like a bunny rabbit and open to the world of "infections", so she is stuck taking care of an ear infection in both ears...nothing life threatening, but she is forced to give me pills twice a day, drops in my ears twice a day and a liquid cleanser that I don't allow her to give me very easily! Whoops...I'm wasting most of it on the floor so she's inviting a friend over to figure this all out and keep me still to let them put this awful fluid medicine cleanser in my ears!
But, I digress. I'm sleeping and snoring away, so mommy will take over. Well, we last left off when mommy discovered I was helping the homeless in big ways! In fact, they looked forward to seeing me almost everyday and mommy almost felt "invisible. "If I wasn't at Venice Beach and she was just walking with friends, people would look at her, not say "Hi Lisa!" but say...hmmmm where's Rocky?!! Is there something wrong with him? Is he sleeping or not feeling well! My mom was finding out she was going to have to play the gracious second fiddle to my big personaity and ride along on my coat strings or "wings" of an angel and learn to soar in the background while I performed my magic.
Being a French Bull Dog and an "alpha dog", I quickly learned how to amuse people and be the ham. Since I hate to walk too much, I would drop on the ground, begin to play dead, pretend I was exhausted and sleep or do the "crawl". Mommy got so annoyed at times she was forced to pick me up as I literally wouldn't walk home from the Venice Boardwalk and people again would laugh hysterically and point to her and say: Who's walking whom?"!! Or "why do you work your dog so hard?" So, I found out it was good to play cute and got more and more attention at this.
She then decided to dress me up in outfits everyday. We decided our next project was to visit the Boys and Girls Club of Venice, California. She put me in an old fashioned stroller, dressed me up in funny outfits and for our first outting met 20 children in need of attention and love in after school care programs. We stuck to the little ones from 6 years old to 10 or so. I sat on their school tables and they petted me, gave me treats and I did cute tricks for them and let them feel how good it was to be around me. They took loads of photos with me and loved me coming. That was the beginning of many visits to see them. We go on most major holidays including Halloween and Christmas! I actually won "Best Santa" in a Santa Paws Parade in Long Beach over 500 other dogs and gave the money to animal rescue and pet adoption for some of my dis infranchised brothers and sisters without homes. So, we took this Santa Costume on the "road" so to speak and brought good cheer to the kids at the Boys and Girls Club. We brought candy and treats, gifts to play games and win prizes and showed them how to take care of me and other dogs in a good way. My most silly costume was for Easter where I dressed as Peter Rabitt. I say this as I already have huge ears...why need the larger bunny ears to emphasize my funny features! So, kids that needed attention, love and support was my second venue of showing "emotional therapy" to children in need. Hey other dogs...and owners out there...try doing this, its fun, easy and very rewarding to kids...and won't cost more than going to a simple store and buying them cookies, candies and getting a few nice prizes for them. Watch them smile....you'll see the little ones turn into sweet angels and gobble up all the love of an animal!!

Rocky's First Day Blogging!
Good morning world!
I am Rocky the angel therapy dog! I lead such an exciting and wonderful life. I was first called an angel when I was 4 months old and some of mommy's friends said : Rocky is an angel...all that is missing are the wings!! But, I see through photo-shop, wings are now added to my photos!
Being a therapy dog came naturally to me. It started before I knew there was an official title for all that I do. Mommy began taking me out everywhere at 5 months old. Immediately, light, love, laughter and affection followed us where ever we went! I could not walk more than 10 feet without literally 100's of people everyday looking at me, petting me, kissing me, holding me and grabbing me. I mean, this as quite an unusual phenomenon.
Everyone said: Rocky's an angel! He makes me feel warm, happy and loving inside. I new I was something special and began to take my little job seriously!! I mean, mommy met many friends because of me. People literally almost crashed their cars in the street as when I was 10 pounds I was so adorable and people ran out and said: What kind of dog am I? Can I have his photo? Can I hold him. I soon realized that many people were depending upon me to fill this lonely void inside of them and that I was from God above brought down here to be an example of unconditional, transforming, all encompassing warmth and love!! Yes, that's it! I got people to feel love whenever they were around me. My little spirit inside exuded love and even people that looked like "gangsta rap" tough guys, would stop in their " hey, I'm tough, look at me selves" and show warmth towards me and their true loving spirit came out too!!
The official start of being a therapy dog without the credentials or formal training began also when the homeless on Venice Beach hired me as "their mascot"!! I would come by daily and play with them, make them laugh and encourage them to get up and make something of their lives! They loved me so much, that a man that had a Venice Surf Report and wrote on a web site and always spoke to the homeless gang there wrote a whole article about me on line with photos of me with one homeless man named Leprachan! Mommy didn't know all about this until one day by accident when a homeless guy said: Oh, say, did you see Rocky on the web site...they wrote a whole article about him! It was at that moment,...mommy knew I was headed for major things and my work as a "mascot" to the homeless was the beginning of healing hearts and working magic on people that were downtrodden....
more to follow of course! Signing off for now...Rocky!
